As a Shop Mechanic, your key responsibility will be to perform basic tasks in repairing and maintaining vehicles and construction equipment.  You will use a multimeter and computer software to diagnose faults; keep equipment available for use by inspecting, testing, and performing preventative maintenance; maintain functional condition of vehicles and equipment by repairing engine failures, replacing parts, repairing body damage, etc.

What it takes:

  • 2-5 years of experience working on pickup trucks (Ford preferred), heavy trucks, construction or utility related equipment, and trailers
  • Welding experience
  • Forklift experience (desired - training will be provided)
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Formal diesel mechanic training program/certification (desired)
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Valid medical card
  • Ability to provide own basic hand tools
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move 50-100lbs
  • Travel
