POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The objective to this position is to keep all equipment (specialty and non) performing optimally by regularly performing maintenance and improvements to keep crews moving forward efficiently and in a safe manner. Craft and implement maintenance and repair program promoting continuity with project demands. This is a full time, project based role based out of York, ON.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assist with assembly and maintenance of specialty remediation equipment.

 

Perform “on the fly” situational modifications to equipment and systems within the constraints of the installation process parameters.

 

Prepare, maintain, and perform maintenance schedules for all site equipment.

 

Work with Jobsite Superintendent to modify / improve repair methods as necessary for efficiency and safety.

 

Generate and Maintain detailed spare parts lists for equipment repairs (scheduled and not scheduled)

 

Train EE’s working with equipment to troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical issues.

 

Work with Project staff / Vendors to attain optimal pricing with local vendors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  

Intimate knowledge and experience with viscous material conveyance system operation, design, and maintenance.

  •  

Intimate knowledge and experience with centrifugally cast cementitious material application equipment system operation, design and maintenance.

  •  

Intimate knowledge and experience with design operation and maintenance of the inertia conveyance process for propelling equipment including the mechanics of perpetual motion.

  •  

Minimum 5 years’ experience with centrifugally cast viscous cementitious material equipment.

  •  

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

 

  •  

Exceptional written and verbal communication in English

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  

Heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience.

  •  

ISO-9000 training for quality assurance

 

 

COMPETENCIES:

  •  

Electronic / Power delivery systems including VFD implementation for optimization of equipment

  •  

Fundamentals of hydraulic power systems operation, design, and maintenance

  •  

Advanced Fabrication (Shop and Site conditions)

  •  

Intermediate mathematical skills as they pertain to resistance, flow, viscosity, and material conveyance for use of synchronization of equipment.

  •  

Precision soldering for electrical components.

  •  

Comfortable with pipeline remediation work and environments (Confined Spaces)

  •  

Working at Heights

Microsoft Office Suite

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS, HOURS & LOCATION.

  •  

Salary role - $90,000 TO $122,000 per year + Health, Dental,Extended medical coverage & RRSP Matching.

  •  

This role will be based out of York, ON for approximately 1 year - Project Based (travel expenses provided)
