Talent Rewire engages employers to advance equitable access to economic opportunity by increasing opportunity, stability, and economic mobility among low-income employees.  We support employers to rewire their internal systems to hire, retain and advance populations that face barriers to sustainable employment through an employer community that accelerates learning, builds momentum, and serves as a marketplace of ideas and best practices.  We use experiential learning, user-centered design + system thinking, and unlikely collaboration (read more about our approach to employer engagement here) to do this.


We are looking for an Event and Program Coordinator who loves obsessing over the details and processes that go into producing unique, inspiring, and catalytic events.  The Coordinator will also support the initiative more broadly through providing programmatic support which includes, but is not limited to, researching workforce issues and tools, community-building, and collateral development. 




The Event and Program Coordinator will spend approximately 60% of their time on supporting Talent Rewire events, and the remaining 40% of their time on supporting our employer community and other programmatic activities. This person will report to one of the Talent Rewire Directors.


The Event and Program Coordinator will:


  • Plan and execute logistics for Talent Rewire in-person events
    • Research and secure event space
    • Identify, negotiate, hire and develop strong relationships with vendors (e.g. caterers, A/V, hotel)
    • Maintain participant lists and tracking relevant information
    • Work closely with team members to design and execute the participant experience
    • Manage onsite event logistics
    • Manage event communications to participants with a strong customer-service orientation


  • Support community-building and programming of the broader Talent Rewire community
    • Research and manage appropriate technology platforms to facilitate virtual engagement and learning
    • Support development, implementation, tracking, and evaluation of community engagement and activities
    • Research workforce issues, resources, tools, and providers to support initiative programming




  • Demonstrated interest in the mission of Talent Rewire – increase equitable access to economic opportunity to increase opportunity, stability, and economic mobility among low-income employees
  • 2-3 years of operations experience, with a focus on event planning
  • Independent worker with a strong attention to detail, follow-up skills and results orientation
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to build relationships with team members and external vendors
  • Ability to maintain calm and make decisions in the face of the inevitable, unexpected challenges that arise with event planning
  • Interest and/or experience considering and/or applying equity and inclusion principles preferred (e.g. addressing accessibility and inclusion at events, ensuring marginalized populations are included and their voices are heard at events, etc.)
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Work, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • May involve occasional travel within the U.S. and work during unconventional hours for on-site events




This is a full-time position based in FSG’s Seattle or Boston office. We offer a competitive and equitable compensation package with the goal of attracting and retaining exceptional people. Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for our US offices. In addition, we are unable to support the OPT Training Visa, as this visa will eventually require sponsorship.
