Having established strong demand for our initial product line, we are now recruiting leaders in sales, marketing, product, customer success, and engineering to scale up the business.


What We Seek

We are looking for a VP of Product to help realize our founders’ product vision, develop our product roadmap, and work with our engineering and customer-facing teams to expand our product portfolio. We are looking for a multidisciplinary product leader who is deeply familiar with the recent developments in IoT, biometrics, machine intelligence, and business analytics that are critical to executing our vision for making gathering spaces more intelligent and secure. We are looking for an inquisitive, visionary leader with drive and skill for discovering customer needs and aspirations, defining products that challenge old ways of doing things, and managing the definition and rollout of breakthrough products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the product portfolio and own the entire product development lifecycle
  • Serve as the product champion working with the founders, executive team, customers, and key partners to develop and prioritize the product strategy and roadmap
  • Work with the CTO and Engineering leadership to identify foundational technologies for new products
  • Bring a strong user experience focus to our products including building user groups, customer advisory boards and strategic customer relationships
  • Own and direct the pricing and packaging strategy for the product portfolio
  • Work with the Customer team to develop go-to-market plans based on product fit in key markets
  • Initiate and own key partner relationships including OEM partners
  • Develop and communicate product requirements and use cases, and work with the technical team to ensure products reflect the market needs 

What You Bring

You possess a unique blend of big picture vision, technical savvy, and industry experience. You have at least ten years of experience working as a product leader in the IoT, analytics, sensors, smart applications, video analytics, biometrics, or physical security arenas. This includes working with engineering teams and driving whole-product strategy. You have strong customer relationship skills, which enable you to understand customers’ needs and objectives and translate them into product features and requirements for solving complex business problems. You have a strong technical background, with the ability to discuss technical issues and identify solutions that meet product requirements. You have exceptionally strong analytical skills and a natural predisposition toward data-driven decision making. In addition, you can demonstrate the following:

  • Strong track record of successfully bringing high impact, innovative products to market
  • Ability to actualize a product vision into discrete, high value products based on leading technologies
  • Proficiency in translating technical concepts to business-oriented audiences and vice versa
  • Unwavering customer and end user empathy
  • Demonstrated ability to apply experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • An infectious enthusiasm for the product, influencing the energy and pace around it
  • Active learning mentality: understanding implications of new information for both current and future problems and decisions, embracing change, and understanding new concepts
