We are looking for a Principal Consultant experienced in Grants Management systems with areas of expertise encompassing, but not limited to: non-profit and government accounting, compliance, GAAP, and budgeting. As a Principal Consultant at Collaborative you will guide clients through the transformation, implementation and operation phases of a Workday implementation. Additionally you must have a technical aptitude and be capable of configuring the product to meet the business requirements and design specifications.  Previous experience working or consulting for a Federal or State agency or a Higher Education Institute is strongly preferred.


  • Possess 5+ years accounting experience in a non-profit or government environment
  • A working knowledge of best-practices and regulations of grants management:  federal, state, and private
  • A working knowledge of Grants Business Processes, including Pre-Award, Post-Award
  • An extensive knowledge of GAAP and Budgeting
  • Previous experience implementing ERP software, preferably with Tier 1 ERP solution (Workday, SAP, Oracle/PeopleSoft or Lawson)   
  • Familiarity with ERP Grants-related modules related to grants accounting setup, compliance and reporting
  • Willingness to lead Grants implementations and mentor others in implementation and best-practices
  • Possess project management and/or team lead experience
  • Prefer CPA but not required
  • Ability to travel
  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments
