Description

Job Qualifications:

We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician to support the expansion of our Massachusetts Facilities. The Facilities Technician must be able to maintain the laboratory and office space to ensure that all equipment is functional, safe, and suited for the task or process at hand.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

The Facilities Technician supports in the following duties:

  • Advanced troubleshooting, repairs, modifies, installs, maintains and modernizes new or existing facility systems and equipment.
  • Respond to work orders, performing and or directing the prompt and thorough completion of service requests for HVAC, lighting, basic carpentry/painting, access control, and general repair of support assistance as needed.
  • Assisting the Manager of Facilities in maintaining the facility.
  • Ensuring that a healthy, safe, secure and environmentally conscious work environment is maintained at all times and by all staff, in compliance with corporate policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Possess knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment, power and hand tools.
  • Regularly communicate with the Facilities Manager on the status and activity of building operations and promptly report potential or existing problems.
  • Background in electrical installations and repairs, preferably Journeyman or Master Electrician.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience working with electrical systems and HVAC systems
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work with outside vendors and engineers to specify required equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Available to work during off hours, including weekend days as required
  • Able to do other tasks as assigned
  • Able to travel between AMA facilities on a regular basis
