Description

Aurora Company Overview:

Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company, is a leader in the development and manufacturing of advanced unmanned systems and aerospace vehicles.  Our mission is to apply autonomy and robotics to the development, production, and operation of advanced aircraft.  We aim to change the way we travel.

We frequently achieve what others can’t due to a combination of experience, persistence, collaboration, and a culture of innovation.  Projects are ambitious and risky. We apply breakthrough technologies to create a new state of the art, rather than advancing the old one.

During the last three decades, Aurora has designed, rapid prototyped, and flown an average of one new vehicle a year for both government and commercial customers. Now as an independent subsidiary of Boeing, Aurora’s innovation is combined with Boeing’s size and strength, creating an unprecedented opportunity to disrupt the future of aerospace mobility.

Position Overview:

Aurora is known for the ambitious programs that we execute; we are a highly agile company and punch above our weight in a very competitive market because we continuously push the boundaries of what is possible. Now with the backing of Boeing, we are scaling quickly to support a growing backlog of exciting programs that will change the world. And we need someone to design graphics and visuals that share what we do with the world.

This is your chance to make history with us! We are looking for a creative, tech-savvy, graphic designer to join our team and help our engineers convey the vision and complexity of our work by creating easy to understand, compelling, and beautiful visualizations that engage our customers, sponsors, partners, and the world. We are passionate about making highly intelligent machines that fly and someone just as energetic, innovative, and excited about this mission as we are.

Specific Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Transform complex subjects into simple yet striking visual stories

  • Create videos, animations, presentations, pitch decks, infographics, stills, and printed materials that explain the function, design, operational context, and business cases of our programs

Minimum Requirements:

A qualified candidate:

  • Can find the story in our technical work, make connections and abstractions, and create the vision for our products and programs

  • Has a demonstrated ability to tell a compelling story about complex, technical concepts

  • Has a demonstrated ability to render high quality images, and has experience using CAD files

  • Is excited about working in a fast-paced environment and managing/juggling multiple projects simultaneously

Please include a portfolio with your application.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to support travel
