Under direction of the Location Leader or Team Leader responsible for maintaining truck fleet and assisting with repairs where needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to Ag Partners’ Safety Policy.
Utilize good customer service skills at all times, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.
Perform oil changes, patch or change tires, hydraulic work on truck fleet.
Grease and perform service work on trailers.
Obtains parts from stock and hands tools to mechanic.
Cleans tools and working area.
Document preventative maintenance and other repairs.
Visually inspect and test equipment.
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.Document preventative maintenance and other repairs.
Dismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired parts.
Performs other routine duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be able to obtain Class A CDL.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Diesel certification is preferred.
