Under direction of the Location Leader or Production Supervisor or Logistics Manager, this position is responsible for operating a truck to deliver grain and agronomy products.  This position will also be required to assist with the more complex operations of the facility including receiving and/or preparing various products and commodities for delivery to the customer, perform warehouse and control functions, grade and ship grain, load fertilizer and chemicals, and operate commercial application equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to Ag Partners' Safety Policy.

  • Utilize good customer service skills at all times, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.

  • Listen to and resolve some of the more complicated/complex customer complaints and concerns and assist co-workers with more difficult customer questions.

  • Drive truck to deliver agronomy goods to customers and grain to elevators.

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on truck/daily pre-trip inspections.

  • Travel to other locations to perform floating operations, tending truck, or application as required.

  • Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.Provide leadership to production I and II's.

  • May set and maintain the day-to-day work schedule of loading and dumping vehicles.Servicing rolling stock and mixing and distribution of dry and liquid fertilizer and chemicals.

  • Receive products, unloading from wagon/truck/semi, pull appropriate samples, accurately grade and weigh products and record results.

  • Run controls to determine what bin to put product in or what bin to hold prepared product prior to delivery/shipping.Track conditions in bins for aging, moisture, etc.Run driers and fans when appropriate.

  • Maintain charts indicating location and contents of storage tanks.

  • Operate hand and/or motorized forklift.

  • May occasionally deliver or spread fertilizer in season, fill anhydrous tanks, and drive semi-trucks.

  • May help service/repair applicator equipment and/or rolling stock.

  • Operating fertilizer plants and mix chemicals for application.

  • Proficient preparing rail cars and loading cars according to specifications and enters cars and weight into the PC.May drive locomotive.

  • Fill customer orders according to the order form, run sample to ensure compliance with the customer order and compliance with Federal regulations, load vehicle with appropriate product and help maintain inventory records.

  • Perform general housekeeping and general repairs at facility such as patching small holes in spouts or fixing small bearings.

  • Make recommendations on ways to be more efficient in production and use of equipment.



Current valid Class A CDL License.   Ability to obtain CAL license and pesticide handler’s license upon hire.
