PURPOSE: The purpose of this policy is to establish an incentive program for Employees who recruit individuals into critical positions of job classes on Bartlett Regional Hospital’s staff. In order for Employees to be provided incentives under this program the individuals recruited must remain full-time members on the Bartlett staff as further defined below.
Duration. This program remains in effect until cancelled. The Board of Directors may amend this program as deemed necessary to maintain appropriate staffing levels. Only hires made within defined program periods qualify for incentive payments.
A. Eligibility. All Bartlett Employees are eligible for incentives under this program, except for members of the Senior Leadership Team, Department Directors, and Human Resources staff.
B. Hard to fill positions and levels. Due to the dynamic marketplace and changing staffing requirements at Bartlett, those positions or job classes defined as hard to fill positions are subject to periodic change. For the purposes of this incentive program, hard to fill positions or job classes will be so defined by the Senior Leadership Team. A list of positions of job classes so defined will be maintained by the Human Resources Office. Hard to fill positions have been evaluated and placed into I/II/III levels.
C. Evidence of Referral. To be eligible for incentive payments, the name of the referring Employee must be submitted on the Bartlett Regional Hospital jobs website Employee Referral Program or the application for employment.
D. Incentive Payments. Employees who recruit individuals into qualifying positions or job classes within the parameters of this program will receive incentive payments as follows; Level I critical positions will receive $5000.00. Level II positions will receive $4000.00. Level III positions will receive $3000.00
D.1. Fifty percent (50%) in the pay period following the recruited Employee having completed his or her introductory period.
D.2. Fifty percent (50%) in the pay period following the recruited Employee having achieved his or her second anniversary date.
E. Payments will be made only if the recruited employee has remained in a full-time status with the Hospital during the incentive period and the employee recruiter has remained a Hospital employee in an active status during the incentive period. Additionally, incentive payments are not authorized for the recruitment of individuals who have been employed by Bartlett in any capacity (except contract) within the past two years. All incentive payments are considered taxable income and are subject to standard withholdings.
