Class Giving Manager

 

The West Point Association of Graduates is dedicated to furthering the ideals and promoting the welfare of the United States Military Academy, and to supporting and serving its graduates.  USMA is renowned as one of the world's preeminent leader development institutions.  The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400 and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.

The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a Manager for their Class Giving Program to secure donations for the United States Military Academy (USMA).  This position reports directly to the Director of Class Giving, and supports the Director of Class Giving and the two Assistant Directors of Class Giving.

 

As part of the Class Giving Team, this individual is responsible for providing extensive administrative support for classes engaged in reunion gift campaigns.  Primarily, he/she is responsible for developing and coordinating various marketing needs for classes, such as class campaign launch letters and campaign status report mailings, preparing class giving reports, conducting research and developing class giving pyramids, setting up websites for class gift votes and surveys, developing articles for class gift recognition for WPAOG website and other tasks as needed.   Additionally, the Manager is responsible for preparing and tracking annual departmental projections and analysis for new cash, new pledges and alumni donors while taking into account both booked commitments as well as historical campaign performance. 

 

The applicant must possess: strong interpersonal and analytical skills; knowledge of the fundamentals of fundraising; ability to initiate, organize, and follow through with fundraising strategies and meet deadlines as required; experience setting priorities and successfully managing multiple projects of varying complexity and urgency simultaneously; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.  The Manager must be available to attend local social functions in an official capacity.  Some evening and weekend work may be required.

A Bachelor's Degree is required.  Prior fundraising experience is strongly preferred.  Previous experience working in higher education development is preferred.  Raisers Edge experience is a plus.  We offer excellent benefits and a pleasant working environment.  Salary commensurate with skills and experience.  Please submit cover letter, resume and letters of reference.
