Portfolio Management Associate
The Portfolio Management Associate contributes to the success of the San Francisco Symphony’s fundraising efforts in the individual giving programs by managing records of portfolio managed prospect activity driving business intelligence and strategic reporting; providing actionable analysis of portfolios; managing preparation and documentation of solicitations; documenting gifts and pledges of $50,000 and above; and serving as primary donor point of contact for high-touch cultivation and stewardship events. This role is a member of the Individual Giving team, providing strategic reporting and analysis, data tracking, research, and administrative support to the Symphony’s frontline fundraisers.
For the individual giving programs, including annual fund, special appeals, endowment, gift planning, and sponsorships, as needed:
Minimum two years of experience in development
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superb organizational skills
Polished public manner
Ability to work well with all types of people, particularly board members, donors, volunteers, and a diverse group of staff
Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent clerical and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Working knowledge of Tessitura
Working knowledge of Smartsheet
Experience in planning and implementing complex mailings desired
