Administrative Assistant

Under general supervision, performs responsible administrative support duties requiring some independent analysis, exercise of judgment in task execution and detailed knowledge of department and/or institutional procedures related to the work performed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Manager and office staff with general operational tasks.
  • Plan and schedule meetings, presentations, and other office related events.
  • Suggest changes to office task workflow to improve efficiency.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages for executive.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics and event planning.
  • Coordinate calendars, schedules, meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Send reminders regarding upcoming appointments.
  • Manage communication of information in and out of the office including processing and distributing confidential documents
  • Draft correspondence letters, emails, memos, etc. (paper and electronic).
  • Maintain filing systems.
  • Assist in preparation of presentation materials.
  • Order office and program supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum two years’ experience in providing general-purpose administrative and clerical support
  • ‚ÄčExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment a plus.
  • Facility Security Officer experience a plus.
  • Outstanding communicator, both orally and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Self-starter who works well independently.
  • Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them.
  • Detail-oriented and exceptional organization skills.



  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • SharePoint knowledge a plus.


  • High School Diploma, or equivalent


  • Active SECRET clearance required
