Job Description:

Cydecor is seeking a Program Manger to provide professional engineering support services to the DDG-1000 program office (PMS500) staff for the development of cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives to include leveraging findings from recent program reviews. Examples of work associated with this position include.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the use of common products and technologies across Navy platforms.

  • Identifying opportunities to utilize SBIR-type funding for program support.

  • Updating technology insertion roadmaps for DD1000

  • Developing alternative mission recommendations for DDG-1000.

  • Developing recommendations to make Liaison Action Request (LAR) process more lean and efficient.

  • Formulating technical and acquisition recommendations for more efficient Ship and Combat Systems Integration.

  • Assess and recommend supply & maintenance planning process improvements for lead ship and small classes of ships.

  • Developing cost avoidance recommendations to better utilize niche expertise from Small Businesses for ship design, construction and delivery cost mitigation.

  • Performing audits of contracts for cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.

Required Experience:                                                                            

  • At least 15 years of job-related experience.

  • Senior-level knowledge of the DoD acquisition process at the program office level or organization.

·DAWIA, DAU or other acquisition professional certification.

  • Must have excellent written, oral communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with Navy ship and weapons system acquisition programs.

 

Desired Skills/Education:

·Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college.

  • 5+ years experience in communicating, interacting, and working among Senior Executive Service and Flag level personnel.

  • 5+ years of experience with ACAT I and II programs, including Earned Value Management, budget development, and execution.

 Clearance:                                                                                              

  • Active Secret security clearance required
