Lead Proposal Manager

Job Description:

The company is hiring a Lead Proposal Manager who will be deeply experienced in Federal proposal processes in order to take the current proposal processes and organization to the next level of maturity and organization.  The company is growing rapidly, so this is an opportunity for the right person who wants to advance their career by leading and shaping a team.  Since this position includes direct reports, the Lead must be a strong manager, communicator, and trainer to help scale a relatively junior team to manage the increased level of effort.  The Lead Proposal Manager will guide, train, and organize the Bid & Proposal team of proposal managers, technical writers, graphics, and supporting personnel, to include consultants.  The Lead will plan for, schedule, allocate resources, and oversee multiple proposal efforts while also “rolling up their sleeves” to personally contribute as an expert editor, reviewer, and final quality control.  They will lead by example, handle OJT, and plan formal training events to fill skill gaps.  The Lead will be a central linkage for Program Managers, BD, and Capture personnel with the proposal team and proposal process, and will support new corporate growth, contract re-compete, and SSN/RFI responses.  The Lead will work across a tightly knit corporate structure and will smoothly and inclusively incorporate Recruiting, Security, Contracts, and Pricing into the larger proposal processes.
