Travelzoo has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager. This position is responsible for devising strategic sales plans in order to grow accounts and generate new relationships with airlines, tourism boards, cruise companies and their agencies. The Business Development Manager champions Travelzoo’s advertising products and secures the deals our members love. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Develop successful partnerships with major airlines, tourism boards, cruise companies and their agencies.
• Campaign on behalf of Travelzoo’s 28 million members worldwide to source the very best travel deals.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals through account development and new business.
• Work with colleagues globally to ensure that opportunities are fully leveraged and the very best content is secured.
• Plan, develop and execute online sales strategies.
 
Requirements:
• 4-year college degree
• Minimum 7 years of experience in advertising sales 
• A proven ability to sell at the executive level to airlines, tourism boards, cruise companies and their ad agencies
• A strong understanding of digital publishing, advertising and/or e-commerce industries and metrics
• Bilingual a plus (English/Mandarin Chinese or Spanish) 
• A successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals while working independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel on company business, attend client functions and professionally represent the company
