Position Summary:

As a Key Member of the Business Development team, you will take direction from the Executive Business Development leadership for 4D’s Integrated Solutions Offering as dictated by the 4D Security Solutions Strategic Business Plan. You will address the US Domestic Sector with focus in the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions. Primary responsibility will be to identify, pursue and close business via partnerships, prime and sub-contracting opportunities. Performance indicators will be Sign–ups and Revenue Generation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the development, capture and successful closure of Prime, Sub-Contracting and Partner opportunities necessary to support organizational growth
  • Sales and Specification of the WISDOM Command and Control Platform

  • Developing and expanding 4D’s Sales Pipeline

  • Providing Market Specific input to Product Management and Marketing

  • Identifying, qualifying and closing new opportunities to meet annual bookings requirements.

  • Formulating tactical and strategic plans to support both 4D’s BD Team and customer objectives

  • Managing the execution of the Business Development Gate process

  • Interfacing with potential customers to discuss requirements, schedules and capabilities and with industry personnel to develop teaming and/or partnering relationships to support business needs and maximize business performance

  • Demonstrate strong Presentation Skills and have to ability to create and/or adapt presentations to specific audiences.

  • Utilizing knowledge of marketplace and competitors to leverage 4-D’s brand and opportunity across targeted areas of interest, to include: critical asset, transportation, counterterrorism, force protection, integrated security services, and training. Understanding of command and control software platforms and security technology highly desirable

  • Managing key National partner accounts and develops capture strategies for those accounts

  • Developing and monitoring assigned Business Development budget requirements

  • Adhering to company’s code of professional conduct and the highest standard of ethics; ensuring the same of all direct reports

  • Representing 4D at industry events, tradeshows and forums

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or several years of directly applicable experience as a Sales Professional

  • Proven success record of revenue generation, contract closure as well as developing qualified pipelines

  • At least 8 to 10 years of combined industry or public service experience and solid business development background

  • Knowledge of fusion centers to include physical and parameter security. Working knowledge of cameras, digital surveillance and data collection

  • Understanding of Command and Control dynamics and how to help install resiliency plans and quick response

  • Working knowledge of business development roles and missions, financial planning and reporting, company organizations and customer development techniques

  • Knowledge of Key relationship development and sustainability

  • Must fully understand the requirement to facilitate the execution of the Corporate Strategic Plan and the fulfillment of the Annual Operating Plan, in concert with the individual Program Managers

  • Ability to interface with numerous BD disciplines and organizational levels

  • Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and development and maintenance of relationships both internally and externally

  • In-depth computer knowledge (MS Word, Power Point, Excel)
