Project Engineer Intern - Summer 2018
This is an entry level position as an Assistant to Project Managers and Superintendents.


Internship Program

Our internship program allows students to explore the fundamentals of construction management.  Depending on the size and need, an intern will have specific assignments in one or more of these areas.

  • Estimating
  • Contract administration
  • Document control
  • Scheduling
  • Field assignment

Each new Intern will be assigned a mentor.  The role of the mentor will be that of monitoring and counseling.  Mentors will approve and oversee each new assignment to ensure that it meets the curriculum requirements and does not overload the Intern.


  • Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs and change orders) and progress reporting
  • Work with field supervision to assist with project layout, setting control lines, surveying, construction drawing and trade coordination, verification of field conditions and quality control (applies to ground up projects only).


  • Current sophomore or junior pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related discipline
  • Previous industry internship/work experience a plus
  • Must demonstrate genuine interest in the construction industry
  • Solution oriented, problem solver with a “hands-on” and team-oriented attitude
  • Able to work approximately 40 hours per week for a summer internship and 20 hours per week during the school year
  • Success managing multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners

Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
