About the Position:

Are you looking to step up to the next level in your environmental consulting career? Are you ready to manage larger and more complex projects? The ESA Northern California Energy Group is seeking a Senior Associate (Project Manager and Analyst) to manage CEQA and NEPA compliance for a wide range of energy projects including: wind, solar, and geothermal energy generation facilities; transmission lines; substations; and related infrastructure. You will initially be responsible for managing small to medium projects and teams under moderate senior leadership direction with growth opportunities for larger energy infrastructure projects. The role involves direct client interaction; supporting the preparation of proposals responding to RFPs/RFQs; preparing environmental impact analyses for a variety of resources; and managing ESA analysts and sub-consultants to prepare environmental documents.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has solid experience as a Deputy Project Manager and/ as a Project Manager for small and medium projects. You should have interest in new business development and are ready to or already participating in writing proposals and building new and existing client relationships. This role requires the initiative, confidence, and tenacity to uphold ESA’s strong work ethic and to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment. This role especially requires exceptional writing skills and a basic understanding of project financial and schedule management. Successful candidates will have broad-based CEQA/NEPA experience, a science background is a plus but not required, and ideally experience working with public and private clients in a private consulting firm. Qualified candidates should have at least a BA/BS in a related discipline, a minimum of 5 years’ experience; or Master’ s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
