About the position:

ESA is seeking a Project Accountant with experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Environmental industry in Seattle, Washington.  This position will effectively support our regions in meeting or exceeding our financial goals by partnering with the Revenue Managers, Project Managers and the Regional Leadership Team to ensure seamless project accounting including billings, revenue management, accounts receivable, budget and contract management, and ability to identify and track financial trends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle account management, from job set-up and maintenance to billing to collections.
  • Understand contract language related to invoicing and design project interface to meet both project management goals and client requirements.
  • Proactive communication with Project Managers and Revenue Managers regarding financial health of projects.
  • Coordinate with clients to meet specific invoice and document requirements.
  • Reconcile and include, as a part of project invoices, sub-consultant billings for fees and reimbursable expenses.
  • Engage with regional and firm wide Project Accounting teams to support workflow and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 7 years of project accounting experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Environmental industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
  • Demonstrate understanding of key project accounting concepts, including revenue, DSO, multipliers, etc.
  • Deltek Vision experience preferred.
