About the Position:

ESA is seeking a Biological and Water Quality Monitor for construction activities near Oroville, CA. Qualified candidates should demonstrate compliance monitoring experience and the ability to perform all aspects of biological and water quality monitoring on large construction projects. Successful candidates will also have experience preparing daily monitoring reports, communicating with construction contractors, and the ability to work long hours in the field around construction equipment.

Requirements:

At a minimum, successful candidates must fulfill the following requirements and duties:

  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental protection requirements

  • Ability to conduct pre-construction for biological resources, including nesting bird surveys

  • Accurately communicate and document observations

  • Write and maintain daily monitoring and inspection logs

  • Enter data into an on-line GIS mapping application

  • Present a worker environmental awareness education program
