About the Position:

ESA’s Northern California region has an opening for a Project Coordinator to provide project support for a range of client on-call and project-specific contracts for project managers and senior directors in our Water, Environmental Hydrology, and Biological Resources and Land Management groups located in Sacramento, CA. This position may also involve providing general operational support for the above-listed technical groups in our Northern California region.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will partner with project management and accounting teams to effectively and efficiently undertake the following project-related tasks:

  • Coordination of sub-consultant agreements, invoicing, scheduling

  • Assistance with contract (task order) execution, budget tracking

  • Preparation of monthly invoices including preview of charges against budgets and contracted rates; provision of daily log spreadsheets; alignment of required back-up materials; development of progress reports, etc.

  • Assistance with technical report preparation including coordination of deliverable submittals to client

  • Attendance at and support for client and internal meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Background in environmental, engineering, or other relevant professional services consulting with 2+ years’ experience.

  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat required; prior experience with Deltek Vision preferred.

  • Familiarity with contract and invoicing processes and systems including budget tracking, compilation of invoicing back-up materials, etc.

  • Well-organized, able to work independently, excellent problem-solving, and effective prioritization and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to support interactions with colleagues, clients, sub-consultants, and vendors.

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
