About the Position:

The ESA Southern California Region is seeking Associates (Environmental Analysts and Deputy Project Managers) for its Los Angeles office to support the CEQA and NEPA process and documentation for a wide range of public utility infrastructure projects. The role supports the preparation of environmental impact analyses, working closely with ESA technical specialists and Project Managers to prepare and publish environmental documents. The position will work under direct supervision of senior staff.


An ideal candidate would have at least a BA/BS in environmental sciences, environmental journalism, or a related discipline. Successful candidates will have a broad-based analytic, science and planning background, with interest in water supply, water quality, or groundwater disciplines. This role requires exceptional writing and editing capabilities and time management and organizational skill, and involves completion of numerous writing assignments as well as a basic project financial management. Experience working with public water agencies or other environmental consulting firms is ideal. This role requires the initiative, confidence and tenacity to uphold ESA’s strong work-ethic and to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
