About the Position:

ESA is looking for part-time construction compliance monitors in the vicinity of Los Angeles, CA. Qualified candidates would possess construction monitoring experience and ability to coordinate effectively with construction contractors. Previous experience with use of noise metering equipment is desirable. At a minimum, the successful candidates must fulfill the following duties:

  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with mitigation/regulatory requirements

  • Effectively communicate with construction crews, project personnel, and agency staff

  • Write and maintain daily monitoring and inspection logs

  • Note and communicate compliance concerns


Bachelor’s degree in (Environmental Science, Biology, Archaeology, Geology, Civil Engineering) plus 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
