Valbin Corporation is currently recruiting a self-driven and pro-active individual for our FLEX (Foreign Language Exploitation) Team Lead position. This is an excellent opportunity to thrive with a government contractor with obtain hands-on business experience and grow with the company.  


POSITION SUMMARY:  The FLEX Team Lead will be responsible for assisting in creating efficiencies and developing new processes in using foreign language exploitation tools available to ensure the rapid triage, screening, translation, dissemination, and reporting of foreign language materials on media. The FLEX Team Lead must be a fully qualified language-enabled technical expert and possess demonstrated expertise on DHDS and NES.



  • Assist the government in integrating COTS/GOTS and open source software (OSS) for use in foreign language exploitation of documents and media
  • Develop new processes using FLEX tools such as Deployable Harmony DOCEX Suite (DHDS) and NMEC Exploitation System (NES)
  • Assist in using COTS/GOTS and OSS for the development of plug-ins and scripts to expedite the exploitation and reporting processes

  • Ensure rapid triage, screening, translation, dissemination, and reporting of foreign language materials on media


  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience using DHDS, NES, Python, JavaScript, C, C++, C Shape, etc.
  • Must have active TS/SCI clearance
  • Must be a fully qualified linguist and be able to meet language proficiency requirements in English and another target language
  • Must possess demonstrated knowledge of TED, DHDS/Harmony, COTS/GOTS, and Quincy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills interacting with peers and senior management
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality; use discretion with sensitive information.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle stress
