Be part of one of Arizona's largest, most widely respected non-profit behavioral health agencies.  We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Child/Adol & Adult Psychiatrist to join our Prescott Valley Outpatient site.  This position offers a flexible schedule (Monday - Friday)!! 


Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, this position has primary responsibility for the medical/clinical services to specified clients in an outpatient setting.  This includes engagement, assessments, differential diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, family meetings, supportive psychotherapy, patient education, and risk assessment, and discharge planning.  Provides general psychiatric and opioid replacement services and is responsible for ensuring that the psychiatric services are in compliance with licensing requirements and as defined in the ADBHS Covered Services Guide.  Is directly responsible to and supervised by the Chief Medical Officer and/or Medical Director for all clinical issues and to the Program Director for all administrative issues.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Must be expected to obtain Board Certification within 3 years of hire date.
  • Possession of a current DEA certificate and medical license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona.
  • Certified prescriber of Buprenorphine required. 
  • Able to see and treat children (all ages) highly preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations, accreditation and licensing standards relative to AZ State Medical Board and opioid treatment. Demonstrated experience in opioid replacement treatment. Demonstrated experience in assessment, planning and utilization of psychotropic medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and best practices.
