We are seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to join our Marina Pointe Residential Site. This is a PRN/pool position and will not be eligible for company benefits.  Must be flexible to work some evenings.

This position will assist staff to provide skills training, peer to peer support, case management, group facilitation and co-leadership, and non-clinical interventions for consumers. Provides hope and inspiration to adults with substance-abuse and other issues. Assists consumers with the development of living skills, external support systems, and linkages with community resources. Responsible for contributing to and creating a recovery based environment.


  • Minimum requirements consist of 21 years of age, HS Diploma/GED plus six weeks (240 hours) of behavioral health experience.
  • Completion of a behavioral health related internship acceptable.
  • College level coursework and/or Associate’s degree with an emphasis in Human Services, Counseling and Psychology preferred.
  • Prior experience as a recipient of Behavioral Health services required.
  • Successful completion of a qualified Peer Support Training is required within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with substance abuse, seriously mentally ill, and/or general mental health preferred
  • Current AZ Driver License, Motor Vehicle Clearance (clean driving record for 39 months)
  • Must be eligible and or have a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (as required per program requirements).
  • Related experience in behavioral health either as a recipient of services, a family member of someone receiving services or primary caregiver of a service recipient is essential to this position.
