Under the general supervision of the SBH Medical Director, this position has primary responsibilities for the medical functions of the Opioid Replacement Services (ORS) Program. Provides general medical services, Buprenorphine treatment services and is responsible for ensuring that the Opioid Replacement Services Program is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local regulations regarding the medical treatment of opioid addiction.
Requires Doctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine. Possession of a current DEA and medical license to practice medicine in the State of Arizona, certified prescriber of Buprenorphine required, Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulations, accreditation and licensing standards relative to AZ State Medical Board and opioid treatment. Demonstrated experience in opioid replacement treatment. Demonstrated experience in assessment, planning and utilization of psychotropic medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and best practices.
