ABOUT THE ROLE

Your mission

As the Creative Director, Concept & Campaign Integration On Board Experiential Marketing you’ll bring big, transformative ideas to the table and lead designers to realize grand visions. As a master curator and storyteller, you’ll work to inspire game-changing ideas from our team of experts and articulate them into a clear creative campaign concept. You’ll examine all aspects of a design problem and create thoughtful, viable and unexpected creative solutions. You’re a true team player with an expertise in experiential strategy and great copywriting, and the passion and creative chops to crank up brand impact for some of the world’s leading companies.

Key accountabilities

Creative leadership

  • Guide strategic development of integrated experiential marketing campaigns; oversee planning, concept development, design and implementation; assign tasks and monitor progress  
  • Work closely with clients; listening to them and articulating their situation, goals, and requirements into inspiring creative briefs
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and workshops designed toward specific outputs and solutions that address client strategy and tactical business needs
  • Act as the catalyst that mixes ideas, pushes concepts, and finds the best way to meet the client's needs with compelling, innovative creative executions
  • Write copy that connects directly with an audience to inspire and activate
  • Understand and work within project parameters: client goals and requirements, internal goals, attendee experience, technical constraints, as well as budget and schedule
  • Develop and present winning new business pitches  
  • Be a sponge for industry trends, sharing insights and inspiration with the agency at large
  • Contribute leadership in terms of best practices, standard processes and past experience to drive the agency’s capabilities forward

People management

Provide mentorship and direction to strategists, writers and designers; understanding their strengths and weaknesses, providing regular educational opportunities, constructive critique and thoughtful guidance along their growth path
Encourage curiosity, strive to continually increase the quality of the creative output of the agency

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge and experience

  • A solid portfolio of 8+ years successful and relevant experiential/environmental/field marketing and experience design, strategy and/or writing, at an agency
  • At least a basic understanding of all aspects of client-focused brand and marketing creative, including brand development, social, digital, advertising, OOH, retail/POS, media and environmental/experiential design
  • Experience and skill to drive the development of new business and client review decks and various communication vehicles
  • Creative and strategy-driven POV in developing best-in-class integrated experiential marketing campaigns and programs
  • Effective communicator and storyteller with ability to find the best approach to verbally and visually communicate an idea AND articulately present it to other team members, clients, and agency partners
  • Ability to develop a singular voice from multiple content contributions
  • Excellent listening skills, able to get to the heart of what the client is telling you
  • Experience collaborating with a team of strategists, creatives, designers, producers, and account managers
  • Adept at multi-tasking while coordinating multiple projects and resources

Education and skills

  • BA/BS in Business, Design, Marketing, Communications, Strategy or similar
  • Technical understanding of and capability with the latest Adobe Suite of programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Fluid capability with Mac suite of programs including Keynote, and Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to generate and present thought leadership on behalf of the agency, bringing thoughtful strategy and storytelling that drives innovative client work

  • Understands that a great story is the key to tapping into emotions and creating memorable and sharable experiences
  • Ambitious self starter with an eye for fantastic creative while maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability to whatever gets thrown at you from day to day
  • Demonstrated work or personal experience or interest in technology, lifestyle, sports and/or entertainment industries is a plus
