Employment Duration: Full time

Description

What we seek

Evolv Technology is building software that pulls data from sensors, integrates it into algorithms, taps into our artificial intelligence engine, then drives an action to help keep people safe. All this must be done through a massively scalable, near zero latency, highly secure architecture. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to test our systems, make them more robust, and make a difference in the world. Our products include hardware scanners and web based video analytics systems. As a QA Engineer you will perform manual testing, while identifying and communicating defects and risks. You will create and execute functional, system, and regression test cases and scenarios based on requirements, and you will conduct reviews with our development team, product management and business users.  You will plan, coordinate, prioritize and estimate testing activities, as well as report defects and raise issues or concerns to the project team. You will define, maintain, and organize input and output data to support test cases and scenarios, and you will execute troubleshooting and isolate root causes for issues found. In addition, you will also propose improvements to processes and tools in order to improve overall quality and efficiency.

Who we are

Based in the greater Boston area, Evolv is a venture backed technology startup with a mission to keep people safe around the world. Our investors, which include Bill Gates, General Catalyst Partners and Lux Capital, have redefined multiple industries and we’re working with them to do the same thing in the physical security space.

Our products combine leading edge sensors, deep learning AI, and cloud computing to detect physical security threats. Our initial focus is on detecting people who are carrying concealed threats that can be used in mass casualty events. These products can be used at public events and in many places including stadiums, train stations, airports, office buildings, and hotels. Our systems are modular and quick and easy to deploy. Whether temporary or permanently installed, our products lower risk and create a safer environment without disrupting the normal flow of people.

Methodical, detail oriented, and well organized, you are results driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and you excel at time management. You are eager to learn and seek to continually grow in technology in order to improve quality and engineering processes.
