Vice President, Communications and Marketing
|# of openings:||1|
Aurora Company Overview:
Aurora Flight Sciences, a Boeing Company, is a leader in the development and manufacturing of advanced unmanned systems and aerospace vehicles. Our mission is to apply autonomy and robotics to the development, production, and operation of advanced aircraft. We aim to change the way we travel.
We frequently achieve what others can’t due to a combination of experience, persistence, collaboration, and a culture of innovation. Projects are ambitious and risky. We apply breakthrough technologies to create a new state of the art, rather than advancing the old one.
During the last three decades, Aurora has designed, rapid prototyped, and flown an average of one new vehicle a year for both government and commercial customers. Now as an independent subsidiary of Boeing, Aurora’s innovation is combined with Boeing’s size and strength, creating an unprecedented opportunity to disrupt the future of the aerospace industry.
Aurora is known for the ambitious programs that we execute; we are a highly agile company and punch above our weight in a very competitive market because we continuously push the boundaries of what is possible. Now with the backing of Boeing, we are scaling quickly to support a growing backlog of exciting programs that will change the world. And we need to tell the world about this work.
As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, you will be integral to the execution of our ambitious goals. You will bring compelling, innovative ideas to promote our work and attract sponsors, customers, partners, and top talent. You will drive the narrative internally and externally.
This position reports to the President and CEO and will include leading marketing, product sales, and communications. You will be responsible for creating a strong Aurora brand and presence across relevant marketing channels, planning and executing marketing campaigns for key programs and company initiatives, defining a market and cultivating customers for Aurora’s products, developing successful internal communications strategies and messaging, and developing processes and operations that allow your team to succeed. This strategic marketing leader will coach and develop, share market trends and forecasts, analyze Aurora’s competitive market landscape, and serve as a thought leader as they ensure that Aurora’s visibility grows.
