Position Summary:

The Product Engineering Manager is accountable for the performance of engineering methods that support the manufacture of products to meet customer expectations as well as developing and improving manufacturing processes in a team oriented environment. The incumbent will work with all levels of management to identify and implement corrective actions and supports the documentation and validates for process improvement initiatives. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead an engineering department to provide engineering support for multiple projects/programs in a matrix organization.

  • Ability to develop strong professional work relationships that foster effective communications and efficiency with the different functional work teams across the enterprise.

  • Establish resource demand forecasts for new and existing programs and develop resource allocation plans that are conducive to the efficiency of the engineering department based on manufacturing targets.

  • Manage projects and tasks led by the engineering group for efficiency, within budget to established quality standards and disciplined project execution procedures.

  • Develop work processes and procedures for the engineering group to ensure execution of work to meet targets with quantitative metrics to assess efficiency of the engineering group.


  • BS degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited university;

  • Eight years work related experience in the aerospace industry.

Minumum Requiremets:

  • Experience with composite materials and processes preferably in the aerospace industry

  • Experience in design using CAD software such as CATIA or UniGraphics.

  • Experience with NC programming and verification software such as Predator and Vericut.

  • Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Prior supervisory experience leading a team of 10 to 25 engineers.

  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP/Inventory systems.

  • Demonstrated proficient use of computer and MS Office suite of tools and presentation skills.

  • Must be U. S. Person
