Job Qualifications:  

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for oversight of the general accounting and reporting function.  The selected candidate will perform other critical tasks including, but not limited to:  managing the accounts payable and payroll areas, general oversight of the monthly closing process, maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to our parent company Boeing, lead government audits with DCAA/DCMA and other outside audits including the annual incurred cost submission

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and travel expenses.Manage staff of 5 and matrix with Finance staff

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations

  • Supervise or complete analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

  • Perform trial balance reviews identifying cost trends, investigate variance

  • Perform indirect rate process maintenance and analysis

  • Perform financial interpretation, analysis, support and monitor costs/charges for appropriateness, accuracy and compliance as it related to government accounting, accounting standards, rules and regulations

  • Assist in managing external financial statements and regulatory audits

  • Manage the bi-weekly payroll process including time collection

  • Lead the monthly financial close process

  • Continually improve current processes to gain efficiencies

  • Lead regulatory reporting, including annual incurred cost submission, provisional indirect rate submission and other applicable reporting requirements

  • Assist in contract close-out efforts

  • Work with DCAA on historical audits, respond to questions and manage the overall process

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of corporate accounting experience as an Accounting Manager, with at least 4 of these years working in a government contracting environment

  • SAP by Design or SAP experience is highly desired

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading/managing people in Accounting/Payroll

  • Experience with ADP and Concur travel is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

  • In-depth knowledge of FAR and CAS regulations

  • Professional demeanor with excellent written and oral communications skills for interaction with all levels within the organization, along with external customers and vendors.

  • Ability to work cross functionally to resolve accounting issues

  • Ability to work additional hours during peak times

  • Advanced skill level with MS Excel

  • Must be a US Person
