Job Qualifications:

Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Mississippi Team. This position requires an action, results-oriented individual who can effectively oversee the Facility programs at the site.  This individual must also be able to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization and the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and maintenance of the preventive maintenance program of equipment, machinery and buildings for the MS site.  This position will work with corporate facilities and local management in planning, budgeting and scheduling facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. 

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance program per equipment manufacturer’s recommendations for Coordinate and assist with the daily activities of plant maintenance to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance program per equipment manufacturer’s recommendations for major production and facility support equipment and communicate issues to the Site General Manager.

  • Collect and respond to issues of facility maintenance reported by members of management or other employees.

  • Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, and any facility expansion in coordination with the Director of Facilities and the local Site General Manager.

  • Oversight of the cleaning and cleaning and physical conditions of the plant which includes the buildings, grounds, equipment and parking areas

  • Collaborate with other functional departments to provide facility input to meet projected production needs.

  • Present performance data and concerns during monthly Operations Review.

  • Work with EHS to maintain compliance with permits; government regulations and other industry practices.

  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents. Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained.

  • Complete weekly report of activities, concerns and accomplishment.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong ability to interface with multiple disciplines to achieve common strategy and priority of deliverables.  Must be a solid leader with proven ability to grow teams, successfully create and implement plans, create an environment which is committed to providing service excellence. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point and Visio).  Ability to forecast and meet deadlines - Ability to work successfully in a dynamic work environment.  Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and proven organizational skills. 

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or equivalent preferred

  • 7 -10 years of work experience in manufacturing facilities, preferably associated with aircraft manufacturing and assembly processes. 

  • Experience with direct supervision and/or leading a team of direct reports

  • Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office Suite.  Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.  Prefer candidates to possess Project Scheduling work experience.

  • Experience with Government and Aerospace specifications desirable.

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to work in a manufacturing, bend crouch, climb, and kneel.

Shift Requirements:

Day shift with flexibility to work extended work hours.
