The Dynamics Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the dynamic design, loads development, and performance analysis of manned and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). This will include aircraft mechanical systems such as landing gear, brakes, steering, and primary flight control mechanisms. May also include ground based system designs such as launch and recovery apparatus. The engineer will develop CAE models of complex multi-body dynamic systems, write test plans, conduct testing to verify performance, post-process data, and document the results and conclusions in a test report. The engineer will work closely with the structural analysis group to develop and apply operational loads to traditional strength analysis methods. The engineer will also develop component specifications to be used for design and component selection of mechanical systems.
This position requires a sense of urgency, attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and thorough follow-up capabilities. The ideal candidate must be analytical while using acquired experience to work pragmatically, capable of working within deadlines, demonstrate high standards, thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and work with minimal supervision.
